Melissa Reid graduated from the University of Florida with a BSEE in 2002 and the University of West Florida with an MBA in 2020.  She is licensed in Florida (since 2007) and Alabama (2008) and recently obtained her FPE in 2023.  She is also a Certified Energy Manager.  Working as a consulting engineer for more than 18 years, her projects have ranged from military tank training ranges to primary educational facilities and government offices.  She is highly skilled in lighting photometrics including providing support for wildlife-friendly lighting requirements.
